Although I truly love my CBR1000RR and can ride it for 500 or 600 miles a pop, I really do prefer the upright, motocross style ergos of naked bikes.
Recently, thanks to @LadyHawk82 on Twitter, I began using http://cycle-ergo.com/ to check the ergonomics of motorcycles I’d consider for myself or recommend for others.
One very pleasant surprise was just how perfect one of the bikes I’m considering is for me. The Ducati HyperMotard fits me like a glove!
| The Ducati HyperMotard has absolutely perfect ergos for a rider of my size. Important to note is the knee bend and forward lean. | |
| http://cycle-ergo.com/ allows you to compare bikes as well. After selecting which bikes to compare, with a scroll of the mouse wheel, you can superimpose the two (or more) riding positions on each other. | |
| What is not calculated, but is clearly visible, is the hip angle. For me, after 600 miles on my CBR that’s where I’m feeling it! | |
| Also, http://cycle-ergo.com/ lets put your feet on ground. This seems to be something many riders are concerned with… |
So, thank you http://cycle-ergo.com/ for creating such an informative and useful site, and, again thanks to @LadyHawk82 for enlightening me!

Great post! I really like the site! I wish it had a couple more models available. It seems to only be new bikes.
